Comprising about 40 talented amateur singers, we are a young choir committed to performing a wide range of varied and challenging music: sacred and secular, renaissance to 21st century, popular chamber pieces and exciting new discoveries. Under our conductor,
Ivor Setterfield (featured
in the Channel 5 series “The
Singing Estate” in 2006 and 2007), New London Singers performs
regularly at London’s leading venues, and we are particularly associated
with St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square. Recent performances
at St Martin’s have included a special programme for the 200th
anniversary of Trafalgar Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas and Good Friday
concerts,
a Shrovetide concert of Bach and Scarlatti, as well as our a cappella
programme Darkness and Light, performed in London and Edinburgh. For details of all our forthcoming concerts, please click on [concerts]. For details of our recordings, please click on [recordings].
