All candidates must be full-time composition students at postgraduate level or studying for a Doctorate at a recognised institution of tertiary education in the UK.
All candidates must be resident full-time in the UK until after the date of the first performance of the winning work.
All candidates submitting entries must enclose a signed affirmation that the submitted composition is entirely their own original work and free from plagiarism of the work of others. This affirmation should also state that the text set in the submission is in the public domain and copyright free. The candidates themselves are liable if either of these assertions turns out to be untrue, NLS accepting no such liabilities in any circumstances.
Candidates should not write their name on the score. An entry form should be completed with each entry but this will not be seen by the adjudicators. Only one entry permitted per candidate. Scores may be returned to candidates provided they provide a suitably-sized stamped, addressed envelope. The postal address for submissions can be found on the entry form.
Any candidate failing to comply with any of the above terms and conditions will be automatically disqualified. New London Singers reserve the right to alter the competition rules due to unforeseen circumstances.
